What I don't get is the IAS, though I've seen some good guilds run it. Mainly because moebius strike's recharge is about equal to death blossom attack time when you aren't IAS, and when you are, you end up waiting on moebius to recharge. Is it only used to power through your first run through the combo, or what?

The IAS gets you to your Moebius and dual attacks faster.

Critical strikes = energy management, critical eye = em, critical strike if you bring it = em, and zealous daggers = em.

I just think an IAS isn't really necessary, we attack faster than the other melee classes and an IAS is like overkill o.O

It's nice though..yes...it is...

but for PvE I don't think it's as necessary, unless for bosses or something

Laenavesse, attacking faster is sometimes key to kill: Monks can't react as fast, and thus let your target die.

An IAS will also often let you get to Moebius in your attack chain before your group kills your target if you are playing a build like this in PvE.

@Yanman: Yes, but that's more vital in pvp than PvE. I use Temple Strike in Hard Mode because of all the casters (wild strike is my other offhand).

@Archon: And that's the only real reason I can see for having an IAS, but meeh. I guess I use my monk secondary more >.o; *uses condition removal for herself, especially in areas where she gets blinded*

It's not like I don't see *why* you would use it, I just don't really know if it's necessary other than actually killing the monster before your other team (people or AI) does.

BSS
TF
Mobieous strike
Critical strike
Critical defences
Siphon speed
Flail/other IAS/heal
Res sig or heal like way of perfection
I use Zealous daggers , 13 critical strikes , 12 dagger mastery, 10 deadly arts ( probably over kill but oh well ). Armour won't matter much as long as u have 30 energy to get to critical strike then energy gain there. I usually have 555 health and 34 energy myself tho. Res sig for PvP when u have a monk and heal for PvE if u don't wanna bring res sig. Its a decent build for shutting down melee and casters thanks to the snare. I've used this build in PvP and PvE so I know it works well in both.
